Our
sincere thanks to Pam Jokerst for an outstanding field trip! The
weather was picture perfect for the thirty-eight people touring
the Ozark Fisheries facility Saturday. After a sneak preview at
the fish in the viewing tanks, we gathered to hear Jana Cleveland
tell the history of the farm and the processes involved in raising,
sorting and shipping all the various things they sell. Then everyone
went out to choose their own special fish from the thousands available,
enjoy a Heavenly Ham lunch, and watch as each purchase was packaged,
oxygenated, boxed and loaded onto the bus. After a final stop to
see the water gushing from one of the artesian springs, we headed
back to St. Louis and loaded our treasures into our cars.
